Free Version of Oracle ADF Framework available

Yesterday, Oracle announced a free version of the Java EE "Application Development Framework" (ADF) called Oracle ADF Essentials.
The version comes with support for the open source edition of Application Server Glassfish and Oracle jDeveloper.
Oracle ADF Essentials comes with support of all ADF core functionalities like

• Oracle ADF Faces
• Oracle ADF Controller
• Oracle ADF Bindings
• Oracle ADF Business Components

Following features won't be available in the free version:

• Declarative customization
• Granular security layer
• Integration with Oracle SOA Suite
• Oracle ADF Mobile

In future releases of Oracle ADF Essentials, there will also be eclipse support by the existing "Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse" plugin.

The framework is downloadable on Oracle Tech Network (OTN).
